Apartments, The Classics, and Theatre Students - Oh Mi..ley?

Good morning readers! As of today, I have two classes, three tests, and one final presentation left until my summer begins! With the end of a semester comes a lot of happiness and celebratory events, such as the bonfire on Friday at the lake, the gala next week Thursday, and perhaps a PR party next Friday. The thought of moving out of rez on May 1st is extremely weird though. It's going to be odd this summer without having my friends right next door. I am thankful, however, that we are living close to some of them next year...which brings me to my next point... my roommate and I finally got an apartment! It's currently occupied by slightly dirty boys, but once it's cleaned, and all of our stuff is moved in, it's going to be wonderful. I can't wait! :]

Random statement: I've been listening to a lot of my older music lately...only the classics, of course. Things like: Joan Jett, Cyndi Lauper, Nirvana, Heart, Blondie... I rediscovered my collection randomly, and now I can't help but listen to it every day. It's just raw and I love it.

Oh! So today, I was in my elective, and we didn't really need to go to this class because we were just watching a movie and handing in our essays, but thankfully I attended, because I witnessed one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Sitting in my chair and daydreaming like I usually do before class starts, I was suddenly snapped out of my thoughts with, "I hopped off the plane at LAX, with a dream and my cardigan..." Miley Cyrus' Party in the USA, blasts into the room, her skimpy little shorts and push-up bra gracing us with their presence on the projector. Then, as if this wasn't painful enough, the theatre students in my class, jumped up and started to sing and dance. I felt like I was in an episode of Glee or High School Musical. To top it all off, my professor grabs her video camera and starts to film these eccentric students singing along to Miley Cyrus. It was crazy, but extremely funny, as the theatre students that were performing were boys. Now, I know I haven't been very frequent with the visuals, so here's a special treat:

Have a lovely day readers!

  1. Aww jealous! I never had the college apartment/roommate experience. When I went to Conestoga I just lived at my sister's house since she lived in Kitchener because it was much cheaper than getting a place anywhere else (she only charged me like $200 a month lol) and then when I went to Fanshawe I just stayed at home to save money. I guess in the long run it was smart because I saved tons of money which I then used for the wedding, but I hated living with my parents and not having the true college experience. Le sigh.

BAHAHAHA! Thats so awesomely random. Sometimes I wish people would randomly break out into song and dance every day. Life would be much more exciting :P
