G'day readers! Well..technically it's not really THAT good of a day. As much as I enjoy the rain, I would prefer for it to not start until after I'm inside. The drowned rat look isn't my most attractive. On that note, I have approximately 21 days, 5 exams, and 4 assignments left until my summer starts. WEEEEEE! I'm super excited.
In my last blog, I briefly told of my experiences at Long Point Easter weekend. After thinking about it throughout the week, I'm really beginning to realize how much I miss my friends from home. I adore my friends here, but I feel like I spend most of my time in class and the classroom can be a very competitive and uncomfortable environment at times. At least back home I can choose the people I want to surround myself with, whereas in the classroom, people are practically forced on you.
Anyways, I got to see my best friend yesterday afternoon and it was lovely. I didn't realize how much I missed her until I was actually with her and having to say goodbye again. When I was on the subway home, I was standing up for practically the whole ride (about 45 minutes, which felt even longer thanks to rush hour), so when the opportunity to sit came up, I grabbed it. Little did I know, I was taking a seat next to a creepy old man who immediately eyed me from bottom to top and began conversation. It went like this:
Old man: "Has anyone ever told you, you look like a model?"
Me: "Umm...I hear it every now and then..."
Old man: "Ahh...very good, very good. You're quite beautiful."
Me: "*Nervous laughter* thaaaaanks..."
Old man: "What's that thing she's holding over there? *Points to woman across from us*"
Me: "...A curling broom...?"
Old man: "Pretty AND smart! *pulls out piece of paper, rips a piece off, and hands to me* Maybe you can model for me sometime..."
Me: *reads card with website address on it* "*Nervous laughter* byyyyye...." *scurries off subway*

So needless to say, it was an adventure. I'm not overly surprised that I have now run into one of Toronto's finest creepy men..after all they are creepy..and they do scout innocent little creatures such as myself.
That is all for now! I must get motivated to actually start and finish these assignments...ugh. Wish me luck! And for all of you who are going through the same stress as I am right now, YOU CAN DO IT!
