Jobs, Money, and Edison Fest!

Good afternoon readers! I hope you're all doing well.

I GOT A JOB! Not only did I get a job, but I got a job that I love and that is going to look incredibly impressive on a resume in the future. It's a Tuesday to Friday, 9-5 job, with the occasional Saturday, depending on if I have to work an event. Basically, I'm a business promotions worker for the Otter Valley Chamber of Commerce. On Tuesdays, I'm in Port Burwell at the Interpretive Centre and the rest of the week I take up residence at Phil Mauer and Associates in Eden. Everyone has been very friendly and welcoming, which makes my working environment that much more enjoyable. Yesterday I represented the Otter Valley Chamber of Commerce at Edison Fest in Vienna.

I'm sure you all know what this means, readers! I have accomplished two things from my summer bucket list!

#2. Get a Job that I enjoy

and

#3. Make a lot of money

Yay for another accomplishment!

While I was there, I met several business people that are members of the OVCC, I also met a few that weren't, but that I would like to see join us in the future. One of these businesses was Fairfrog Creations. They have over 50,000 pieces of sea glass in their home, and out of it they make inukshuks, butterflies, dragonflies, jewelry, and so much more. It's extremely impressive, beautiful, and very Canadian, as all of the sea glass is left untouched, the way it was found, on our Lake Erie shore. I encourage you all to check them out!

Enjoy the beautiful weather!

#4, #5, and #27 :]

Good morning readers! I'm aware I've been rather absent lately, but a lot has been going on that has kept my mind off of blogging. With that noted, if you could all keep my grandma in your thoughts and prayers, that would be greatly appreciated.

So yesterday I took my g2 road test for the second time. I thought I did well, but after backing into a parking space, turning off my car, and receiving a bunch of harsh words from the evaluator, I wasn't so sure. After making me look like a complete idiot, she informed me that I passed. FINALLY! But really, lady? I think she was in power-trip mode, knowing that she could make or break my freedom. Whatever though, I'm done with her for the time being, and I have completed number four on my list of things to complete over the summer!

4. Get my G2

On Saturday, I also completed another two on my list, which are bar hopping and dancing on a stage.

5. Go bar hopping

27. Dance on a stage

I'm on a roll readers! Weeee!

Currently, however, I'm focusing on numbers two and three of my list, which are to get a job that I love and make a lot of money. Sometimes I hate that this town is so small *sigh*. Oh well though, back to the cover letters, resumes, and applications I go! I hope you're all having a lovely summer thus far...and for those of you still IN school, you have my sympathy and good luck with final projects/exams.
