Good Lord it's been a while since I've posted anything about the happenings in my life! I have a few minutes to spare at the moment and what better way to spend it than exploring my own thoughts?
I hope you are all enjoying the lovely weather we've been having lately! ..Even though it's a bit psychotic at times.. It's finally turned into beach weather, which has me whipping out the crop-tops, bikinis, short-shorts, and hair-braiding abilities! ..which I will admit, are limited.
My sister's prom is this Friday and it has me feeling ridiculously old. My prom feels like it was yesterday, yet it's so odd to look back and see how much has actually changed since then - 2 years ago. I guess I've just been caught up in a lot of thought lately. I've been overly emotional and stressed.. I think a lot of it has to do with the transition from my daily routine at school to a whole new work environment and lack of routine at home. Not that I believe living in a routine is the key to happiness. I don't believe that at all. But when you're thrown from something you are so familiar with, into something you're clueless about, it can be a rather difficult transition.
It's already June and I have so much to look forward to in the up-coming months. In July I have two weeks of shut-down, so I plan on spending one of the weeks back in the city. Maybe do some shoots while I'm there, shop for dresses (while I don't necessarily need any, I'll use anything as an excuse to buy some), and hopefully catch up with some of my friends from Toronto. I miss you all quite terribly! As for what has already happened since I've been home.. not a whole lot to be honest. I went up north to my parents' trailer for the long weekend, which was relaxing as always. I've attended two buck&does, which are always a good time, I've done a shoot in Cambridge for a super talented designer.. and have had my first series published! That was really exciting for me.
I'm considering developing another 'Summer Bucket List 2011 Style' for the remainder of the summer, to ensure I'm kept on my toes and not letting my time at home go to waste. There were a few things I didn't accomplish from last year's, so perhaps I'll make it my mission to accomplish them over the next few months.
Until next time, my friends, I hope you relax and enjoy your days!
-Satisfy my Soul
