Good evening my lovelies! I hope the mild temperatures are treating you well and encouraging you to shed a few layers of clothing...
Most of you are heading into reading week now, and those of you that aren't..well..muah hahaaa! Sorry..I really couldn't resist. ANYWAYS..I hope you all have a safe and well-deserved break. Use this time to do meaningful things..volunteer, catch up on sleep, kill your liver, study for those dreadful midterms that are awaiting our return..
I have just finished packing(ish) for Cuba and now I'm going to attempt to get some sleep. My friends are picking me up at 3a.m and then off to the airport we go! Good ole' Lester B. Pearson..bless his soul. This will be my first time flying! While I'm super excited, I'm also slightly nervous. It's okay to be anxious when it comes to the unknown though. But I'm going to do my best to not have an anxiety attack before boarding the plane. That's my first goal of the trip. The rest of my goals have yet to be determined, but I'm sure I'll have no problem finding random adventures and experiences to enjoy. I'll be bringing along my journal so that I can document some of the most memorable experiences I have, and when I get back, I shall share them all with you! ..Well..maybe not all..but most. Haha.
Again, I wish you all an awesome reading week! For those of you that are still in school, try to enjoy it..or at least enjoy Family Day on Monday.
See you in a week, friends!

Jealous! (I know, I've said this multiple times...but I truly am extremely jealous! I've heard wonderful things about Cuba and have known many people who vacationed there...without me. Le sigh.)
ReplyDeleteGood old Lester Pearson indeed! I've been to Malta 3 times and his is the only airport I've ever flew out of (on our half of the hemisphere). It's a very nice airport. If I had read this sooner I would have advised you take some gum along. Your ears tend to pop as the plane ascends into the air, and the constant chewing and swallowing of saliva really helps. Sucking on a hard candy would work too.
Flying isn't really scary. Once you're in the air it just feels like you're sitting on a bus. At least, thats what I remember it feeling like (haven't been on a plane since I was 12 years old lol). Landing can be a tad unnerving, but its really no worse than taking off (and its also a good idea to chew/suck on something when landing as well).
Anyways, have a safe trip! I look forward to reading all about it. :)
